Appealing and private, our lovely homestead had picturesque grounds the our family maintained. The house was modern and sunny. All bedrooms, the dining room and lounge open through ranch sliders to the deck and then you can walk down to the lawn surrounded with cleverly planted shrubs and trees selected from the bible. Approximately 100 grapefruit trees were grown to supply local markets. For the family there were grapes, fejoa, 3 types of pears, mandarins, oranges, apples, figs, plums, lemons, raspberry, blueberries, pomegranate, passion fruit, kumquat, raised bed vegetable gardens, herb garden with nasturtium bushes, a strawberry patch and a glass-house. Double garaging with internal access, an open tractor shed and 2 secure sheds housed our cars and farm machinery. The green-house with water supply and power available housed a hydroponic tomato crop harvested 3 times a year and our vermiculture bins. A babbling brook ran through a corner of the property. There was so much about this property that was a gardeners delight and was just enough out of town to be called rural.
