The photo was taken at Waitangi Marae near the Bay of Islands in the North Island of New Zealand where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed by over 500 Maori Chiefs between the sovereign people of the Maori Nation of New Zealand and Queen Victoria of England in 1840.
Two Maori Nation's Flags draped over the tables, were recognized and flown by the trading ship of over 200 countries around the world, for the simple reason of protection under the Declaration of Independence signed and delivered to King William IV of England in 1835.

In this very room the sovereign Maori Nation of the "United Tribes of New Zealand" came of age 2008, when a Decree was endorsed by the chiefs present and later endorsed around the country, declaring the first appointed governor for the settlers and their government.
Matui Tarawera was appoint the position to govern the settlers and further appointed his spokes person otherwise internationally known as the "Secretary of State" Mr Quentin Koromete. The purpose of "secretary of state" position was to inform the corporate nations of the world gathered under the umbrella of "The United Nation", of our existence and becoming of age from our infant state, as recognized by King William IV in 1835.
